We had dogs when I was a child but not since I was married.
We couldn't take animals to England and we had no-one to look after one here.
Now, you can get dogs vaccinated well against rabies and obtain a pet's passport for the UK.
Rabies hasn't existed in the UK for a long time so they are very careful.
There is still some rabies in parts of France. It's carried by foxes but there has been a vast campaign of vaccination by meat with vaccine on it, to eradicate it from the countryside, and it has retreated to more wilder countryside in Eastern Europe.
Is there rabies in Israel? I would think so.
I can't live without a dog.
there is no rabies in Israel for a long time, but still, all our dogs have to get immunization every year...
