My second son called me the other day and asked me to e-mail him this pic. [link] He wants to send the pic to some photograph's competition in the university, on the theme "velocity". This pic. has a cute story behind, I thought you may enjoy it too.
Summer of 1992, my two eldest boys were 12 and 11 years old, a family vacation in ClubMed. My boys loved the place because of its sports activities. Since there was one year between them, they competed each other all the time. The biggest always won. He was only a little bit stronger, but he hates to lose, a fighter and a winner... He was defeated by the youngest only once, and this pic. memorialize this unique event... It was a race on the beach. The youngest by-passed him at the curve, and succeeded to cross first the finish line. The huge effort is evident on theirs faces. At the end, the youngest was elated by his great achieve for a long time. He continued to remind this victory for many years later on.
And I love the wind in theirs hair… :)

This one kind of reminds me of the painting I used to see in the 70's painted during the Olympic games. Great job on this.

Nice work. I enjoy looking at the development that is shown through you submissions of series of derived works. I like your use of pastel shades and the superimposed elements of this image. This seems to add an extra dimensionality to the work. :highfive:

Wonderful - full of the joy of carefree youth. That's a lovely story too - I'll bet that my little brother would have loved to win, but at three years age difference it was unthinkable.
